Jyoti Malhotra, a well-known travel vlogger and social media star, was arrested on Saturday for spying. The 33-year-old, who lives in Hisar, Haryana, was picked up by the police from the New Agrasen Extension area. She’s accused of working for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, and sharing secret military information about India.

Jyoti studied up to B.A. at Kurukshetra University. She’s single and calls herself a “Haryanvi + Punjabi” girl on social media. She always showed herself as a free-spirited traveller.
The Spying Charges and Pakistan Connection
The police say that during her trip to Pakistan in 2023, Jyoti met a man named Ehsan-ur-Rahim, who goes by *Danish* and works at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi. They claim she started working with Pakistani spies around that time and shared India’s secret information, including details about *Operation Sindoor*.
Investigators believe she was talking to Pakistani agents using apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat. She saved one agent’s number as “Jatt Randhawa” in her phone to keep it a secret.
What Happens Next?
Jyoti has been charged under *Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita* and *Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923*.
She’s been sent to police custody for five days, and the case is now with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
